Page 1 of 2 Consortium The Consortium consists of 7 partners. Within the EU, there are 5 national states represented: Spain, U.K., France, Italy and Sweden.
There is presence of world-class expertise in all the major segments of the work: Semantic Web, Semantic Web Services, e-Learning, Learning Objects, Learning Content Management Systems, and industrial exploitation. The consortium includes: | Two internationally leading groups in RTD on Semantic Web Services (OU – a university, ATOS – large industrial partner) | | Two internationally leading researchers on Semantic Web for the e-Learning (ULL and UAH) | | The major publisher of content of Europe (GIUNTI) | | Two users, providing input to LUISA: (1) UHP, that will participate in a case-study to evaluate the LUISA tools in an academic environment testing the Semantic Web Services infrastructure within its own information global system; (2) EADS, that will lead the use case study on applying the LUISA infrastructure within an industrial e-training environment to solve their learning needs |
| The make-up of the Consortium guarantees that scientific, technological and development objectives of the project will be met. |
Its main strength is a firm pan-European (international) partnership, whose synergy will provide far more than each partner working independently.
